Santiago joined CDI Global Iberia in September 2020, with more than 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions between Portugal and Spain. He has worked on deals in the food and beverage, security, BPO, insurance and financial sectors.

Previously Santiago worked in the M&A division of GBS Finance in Lisbon. Before that he was Partner of Iberpartners, a private equity firm, and became CEO of AON Portugal (insurance broker). Other companies where he has developed his professional activity are AIG, Mercapital and Banco Herrero.

He is currently a Board Member of Globitas Capital Iberia. He has previously been a member of the "conselho fiscal" of Victoria Seguros and a board member of Gesconsult (fund manager) and Telepizza.

Holds an MBA from INSEAD and a degree in Economics and Business Administration from CUNEF.

Speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese, English and French.
